Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates emphasizes proper postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance. Pilates is named for its creator, Joseph Pilates, who developed the exercises in the 1920s.
A Pilates routine generally includes exercises that promote core strength and stability, muscle control and endurance, including exercises that stress proper posture and movement patterns and balanced flexibility and strength.

About the Instructor- Deb Nehlig:
I began my journey teaching movement in 1988. Since then I have taught almost every form of group fitness. I began to dedicate my study and teaching to Pilates in 2002 and currently teach Pilates Mat and on the Pilates equipment. A student always, my Pilates training has included comprehensive training at Body Precision Philadelphia, PA, Masters training at The Pilates Center in Boulder, CO and most recently The Kathy Grant Heritage Training with Cara Reeser of PilatesAligned Boulder, CO . I am also a graduate of Kripalu 200hr YTT and currently completing the 300hr program there.
I strongly believe in the value of all healthy movement and listening to what your body needs on a day-to-day basis. I love to share the benefits of full body, core aware movement with beginners and experienced movers alike. Exercise should feel playful and not a chore.
