When we are in energetic alignment at the level of the heart chakra, we have access to open-heartedness, trust, gratitude, compassion, forgiveness, connectedness, generosity, cheerfulness, the ability appreciate of beauty and celebrate, a sense of awe and unconditional love. These are all qualities of a radiant and balanced heart chakra.
While these qualities are available to each of us, the stress, abuses, and trauma we experience as we journey through the life can make these states of being a challenge to connect with. When we are wounded, we might experience this energy center as deficient or excessive. This can lead to feelings of hard-heartedness, distrust, resentment, loneliness and sadness to name a few. These challenges can manifest at the level of the mind as depression, anxiety and fear of closeness, as well as at the level of the body, as breathing problems, heart disease, high blood pressure and chest pain.
In this workshop, we will learn to attune to this sacred energy center within our chest, contemplate the ways in which we may have been wounded in the past, and explore ways to find health, healing, and wholeness in the present moment through meditation, breathing exercises and yoga postures.
