Ayuravastra, meaning “life-cloth”, is the 5,000 year old Indian process of dyeing cloth with
medicinal herbs, which transfers the healing properties of the plant to your skin physically
and energetically. Our Ayuravastra experience will be split into a 2 part workshop. By the
end of this workshop, you will make your own Dream Pillow out of the dyed cloth. Your
Dream Pillow will help promote a calming and peaceful sleep with amazing dreams!
Sunday, June 12th from 1-3pm
(If it rains, we’ll have the workshop on Sunday the 26th from 1-3 instead)
We will meet at 8125 Crouse Road, Bath, NY 14810, (Peaceweaver land) turn into the driveway
on your right where you will see balloons and a small natural built cabin tucked in
the woods. First, we’ll collect the medicinal herbs. Then we make a fire and cook our
herbs to create the dyebath for your cloth.
Sunday, July 10th from 1-3pm
We’ll meet at Keuka Peaceful Roots (49 Shether St, 2nd floor, Hammondsport, NY 14840)
and to create your own Dream Pillow (using your medicinal fabric from Part 1 of the workshop).
If you aren’t able to attend Part 1, there will be plenty of cloth to choose from.
Cost for each workshop: $35 (includes fabric sample you will take home with you)
