Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years, but is now more popular than ever! This ancient practice of calming and centering the mind provides solace from the stress of today’s busy world.
Studies show that meditation not only relieves stress, but can also help:

- Reduce blood pressure and improve heart health
- Strengthen immunity
- Reduce anxiety
- Facilitate weight loss and behavior change

The good news is that everyone can meditate! We’ll dispel common myths about meditation, provide tips for keeping your practice going, and perform a variety of meditation techniques along with some meditative yoga.
Comfortable workout attire is recommended. In addition, you may wish to bring a mat, cushion or blanket (these are also available at the studio), and pen and paper for taking notes. Handouts will be provided.
